As of 23 September 2010 Geopromining Gold Company conducted industrial works in the mine without expert assessment and approval of projects as prescribed by the legislation of Armenia.
According to the same report, in 2009 the same company redeemed 320,5 tons of ore, while gold content made up 1,580,7 kg. Average content of gold in one ton was 4,93 gram instead of 6,3 g/t approved reserves, where amount of redeemed gold would make up 2,019,2 kg.
As a result, according to para 6 of Article 18 of RA Law “On Nature Protection and Soil Management”, additional fee for soil management for 438,5 ha of redeemed gold makes up 113,210,3 thousand AMD plus 50% fine as hidden funds.
All the aforementioned, as a matter of fact, states about crime and we draw the attention of Police Head Alik Sargsyan, Public Prosecutor Avghan Hovsepyan and Gorik Hakobyan.
