The safety system of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant [ANPP] allows to absolutely rule out possibility of repeating the Fukushima tragedy, Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said in the parliament on 11 May.
'In all over the world when various incident happen at similar facilities, the data of the incident are sent to other nuclear plants including ours. On the bases of this information we model potential threats. This allows us to draw out the measures on improvement of safety if needed', - the minister said.
He also added that ANPP has got the autonomous systems for the reactors' cooling as well as the regime of natural circulation able to act independently for 72 hours.
