On 25 February, around 200 ha of grass cover burnt down as a result of the fire broke out in Tashir Forestry Enterprise of ArmForest SNCO, out of which 35 ha is in the forest-covered area, including trees.
Information and Public Relations Department of MES informed EcoLur that the reasons for fire haven't still been established. MES Press Secretary Satenik Asikyan noted that pine trees mainly grow in this part of the forest. ArmForest SNCO Press Secretary Lusine Hakobyan noted that the fire entered Tashir Forestry Enterprise from the community area.
