The police received operative information that the administration of the Shirak Water User Company made a number of violations in the provision of water services in 2017-2019. In the given period the company administration violated personally or involving other employees the requirements of the contract for water supply with subscribers during the period, they did not install metering devices, depriving subscribers of the ability to control the supply of irrigation water.
Officials concealed some of the 70% of actual water loss volumes by adding them to water users' fees, and included the data in electronic records. According to the information available at the moment, more than 26 million AMD have been collected from subscribers for exaggerated services and received subsidies of more than 31 million from the state. A criminal case has been initiated.
