Yerevan Municipality has launched a large-scale landscaping project in the 8.5-hectare Tsitsernakaberd forest zone in the western part of the Sports and Concert Complex, as Yerevan Municipality informs.
Currently, earthworks are underway on about 5.5 hectares, which will take 3-4 months," Ara Aghayan said, Director of " Landscaping and Environmental Protection" NGO.
Urban landscaping specialists are developing the landscape design of the area. Last year, Yerevan Municipality installed a new irrigation system. It is planned to plant trees in autumn. "We will plant different tree species," Artsvi Grigoryan said, a dendrologist at "Landscaping and Environmental Protection" SNCO.
The project will last 2-3 years. Work will be carried out in the spring and autumn of 2022.
