Hakob Simidyan Appointed Environment Minister

On December 10, 2021, under RA President Armen Sargsyan’s decree NH-385-A, Hakob Simidyan was appointed RA Minister of Environment.

"Based on the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint Hakob Simidyan as Minister of Environment in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5 (1) of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government," RA President's decree says.

Prior to that, Hakob Simidyan held the position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
