"Georade" LLC claims to opencast development of Mutsq gold mine, the operation of a factory and a tailing dump in Syuniq Region in Armenia.
The company has submitted a request to RA Environment Ministry for a preliminary environmental impact assessment of Mutsq gold mine. The second public hearing of the project is scheduled for 12:00, February 4, 2022, at the residence of Administrative Head of Mutsq settlement.
The requested area for the mine is 131 hectares and the annual productivity of the open pit is 150 thousand tons.
The total ore reserves are 2736.9 thousand tons, gold reserves 3605.0 kg, silver 5730.8 kg.
The approximate volume of excavation rocks within the open pit will be about 23.5 million cubic meters. Under the project, after the completion of the mine operation, a part of the excavation rocks stored in the landfills will be moved to the open pit, if possible, thus ensuring the restoration of the areas violated by mining.
The Shaghat River with its tributaries flows in the vicinity of the mine.
The water intake will be from the Dmbdmban River, a tributary to the Shaghat.
