The illegal construction works carried out in the Dimats mountain area, Tavush Region, have been stopped and the area will be returned to its previous appearance, as Environment Ministry disseminated a press release in response to public alarm signals.
"In response to the alarm signals regarding the illegal construction works carried out in the area of Dimats mountain, Tavush Region, we would like inform you that the offenders were found by the employees of Conservation Department of "Dilijan" National Park, and minutes were drawn up.
The violators have committed to return the area to its previous appearance," the press release says.
Reminder: a few days ago, a group of hikers found traces of a foundation prepared for a possible building during their hike to Dimats mountain.
