

On October 6, RA government approved the report on the availability and distribution of RA land funds for 2022. During one year, the area of agricultural lands decreased, the area of industrial and energy lands increased. The area of agricultural land was reduced by 400 hectares. If it made up 2,042,480 ha in 2021, then it will be 2,042,080 ha as of July 1, 2022.
Pasture areas have also decreased: 1,049,870 ha of pasture in 2021 v. 1,049,660 ha in 2022. During 2021-2022, the specially protected areas and forest lands were also reduced. In particular, the area of specially protected areas decreased by 10 hectares, forest lands - by 160 hectares.
On the other hand, the land surfaces of industry, soil management and other production purpose and energy, transport, communication, utility infrastructure facilities have increased. So in Armenia the area of land for industry, soil management and other land areas of industrial significance made up 38,970 ha in 2021, the area of land for energy, transport, communication, and communal sub-structures accounted ofr 14,050 ha. In the first half of 2022, the first figure made up 39,520, whereas the second one - 14,110 ha.
