In the framework of the project for the compensation of damage caused by logging for the realization of Teghout deposit exploitation, a competition has been announced.
The competition will take place in two lots to select companies, which are to realize afforestation in the following territories:
Lot 1 – Afforestation of about 50 ha land belonging to Arjout community of Lori marz of the Republic of Armenia
Lot 2 - Afforestation of about 30 ha land belonging to Odzun community of Lori marz of the Republic of Armenia.

To remind, Teghout cjsc has elaborated and agreed with the Ministry of Nature Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture of RA an afforestation project, which foresees a realization of afforestation works in 714 ha total area, which is the double of the 357 ha total area to be deforested as a result of the exploitation of Teghout copper-molybdenum deposit.
Moreover, the company has undertaken a responsibility not only for the realization of tree-planting, but also for the care of the trees unless these territories are passed to the forest category.
During the past period it has been realized deforestation in about 65 ha total area. Parallel to this, tree planting and ongoing care works of the planted trees have been undertaken in 140 ha total area, in the administrative area of Shnogh and Teghout communities of Lori marz.
With the initiative of the company, also public tree planting has been realized in 8 ha total area.
