Nature Protection Ministry is announcing a new contest for the vacant position of 'Khosrov Forest State Reserve' SNCO to be held on 15 March 2013. Reminder: in fall 2012 the director of the reserve was dismissed after the flagrant poaching case in the reserve. On 23 November 2012 the ministry appointed a contest for the position of Khosrov reserve direction, nevertheless, out of 3 nominees only ex Deputy Director Gabriel Poghosyan took part in the contest, who was considered to be the winner. However, as a result of the big public protest Gabriel Poghosyan refused to hold the position of Khosrov reserve at the same time resigning from the position of a deputy director. As a result, under Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan’s decree no. 335-A dated on 10 December 2012, Hrachya Hovakimyan was appointed as an acting director, who was employed as Deputy Director in Protection in Khosrov Reserve from 1992 to 1994. Time will show who will be new nominees in this contest and how the people will adopt the newly appointed director.
