A set of water-use problems have arisen due to the reduction of underground water reserves for a number of communities in Ararat Valley and it’s Armenian government’s primary issue to supply the villagers in these territories both with drinking and irrigation water. This is what Armenian Deputy PM, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan said on 2 July at the consultation held in “EcoFish Trading” company, which deals with fish breeding, as Public Relations Department of Territorial Administration Ministry informs.

During the consultation an arrangement was made to set up a working group from the representatives of Agriculture and Nature Protection Ministries, Armenian Development Agency and fish breeders, which will examine the similar experience in different countries and will submit proposals on more efficient use of water resources.

Deputy PM offered Nature Protection Ministry representatives to examine the expediency of drillings permitted with the water usage permits issued from 2010 to 2012, but not still implemented and to make a proper proposal to the government.
