On 3 April the Armenian Government adopted “Procedure for Issuing, Liquidation and Conservation of Water Usage Permits for Illegally Operated, As Well As Not Used Wells.” Hence, it’s banned to issue water usage permits of new wells for fish farming purposes in Ararat and Armavir regions, while the main criteria for assessing expired water usage permits is to reduce the water usage volume in the fish farms by one thirds.
