On 29 July 2014 the liquidation works of an illegal deep well with 80 l/s capacity was launched in Noramarg community, Ararat Region, which will enable to save annually over 2.5 million cum water. Nature Protection Minister Aramayis Grigoryan followed the works personally on the spot, as the official website of Nature Protection Ministry informs. Under this source, so far 45 deep wells have been liquidated and conserved in Ararat and Armavir regions with the funds of the Armenian Government with total capacity of 310 l/s, while 47 deep wells were liquidated and conserved with the funds of the business entities with a total capacity of 920 l/s.
