Surik Khachatryan, Governor of Syunik region, the other day during the ceremony of the foundation of a new cannery in Kapan, announced that since March new jobs will be created in mining field. "There are serious plans for exploiting new mines in Syunik. The main development of the southern part of Syunik will also be through metallurgy. And to our question if mining wouldn't damage the new project, that is the process of clean food production and export, the latter insisted that mining wouldn't disturb it.
