Specially Protected Areas
Aramayis Grigoryan outlined that there are certain gaps in the specially protected areas, which don’t have any certificates. Border mapping, specification and inventory processes are being carred out in the specially protected areas of nature; particularly in 2015 “Zikatar” state reserve, “Soranner” dendroparks in Ijevan and Berdi were registered in the state cadastre.
It’s planned to accomplish the registration of the specially protected areas of nature in the state cadastre of real estate in 2015.
During 2014 an anti-fire road of 7.5 km length was rehabilitated in “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve, 5 ha of forest was planted in “Dilijan” National Park, 3 ha of forest was replenished, the leasing fees of the areas and property of “Sevan” National Park accounted for over 152.2 million AMD as compared with 172.3 million AMD in the last year, which were directed to solve the environmental problems in the national park.
Aramayis Grigoryan considers the priority of Nature Protection Ministry to develop ecotourism in the specially protected areas of nature and to introduce geo-information systems, which will enable to inventory and register the natural resources, monitor natural resources and environment, programming of analysis or forecast, preparation of maps and reports.
