Armenia won’t join Customs Union, as Boris Navasardyan – Coordinator of Armenian National Platform of Civil Society Forum. “The Customs Union is not an established structure. It has rather many contradictions. No country of the Customs Unions is pleased with the situation available in the Customs Union,” he said at the press conference held at EcoLur Press Club.
“There are serious concerns what the national platform should generally do. The main function is the dialogue with the authorities and EU around reform agenda. Now, if EU-Armenia relations are not at stage of deepening, i.e. we don’t have an agenda, what’s the topic of our dialogue with the authorities? In this regard, the actions of the platform are also uncertain,” said Boris Navasardyan and mentioned that the National Platform is willing to run a dialogue with the authorities, but only on the agenda approved by the platform. “We are ready to enter into a dialogue with any social-political and other movements, which have certain pro-European direction, let it even be the opposition,” the speaker added.
