There are no measures aimed at decreasing water intake out of Lake Sevan are planned in Lake Sevan ecosystem recovery plan for 2019.
Around 583 million AMD is planned to allocate from the state budget for the recovery, preservation, and natural development of Lake Sevan ecosystem in 2019. Nevertheless, these funds are allocated not for all measures.
Particularly, 117 million 62 thousand AMD will be allocated for forest cleaning works in 66.8 ha flooded area: it should be mentioned that in 2018 larger area was planned to clean with the same funds - 80.24 ha.
252 million 666 thousand AMD will be allocated for the preservation of Sevan National Park: the same sum was allocated in 2018 as well.
7,624,000 AMD will be allocated for the examination, assessment and development of recovery ways of fish reproduction conditions in the main rivers, which are spawning sites for the fish.
Both in 2018 and 2019 205 million 800,000 AMD was planned for the preservation and operation of Arpa-Sevan tunnel.
Reminder: in 2017 1.6 billion AMD was generated from the sale of electricity as a result of additional water intake in the amount of 100 million cum out of Lake Sevan, which was transferred from the extra budgetary account of RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources to the state budget. Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan said about the additional water outlet out of Lake Sevan at the Cabinet discussions that these 1.6 billion would be directed at the measures aimed to decrease water intake out of Lake Sevan.
There are no measures aimed at the decrease in the water intake out of Lake Sevan planned in the the recovery, preservation, and natural development of Lake Sevan ecosystem for 2019.
