Lake Sevan Level Decreased by 7 Cm in September

The level of Lake Sevan is continuously decreasing. Only in the last month, the level of the lake has dropped by 7 cm. As of September 29, the level of the lake is 1900.31 m. For the same period of the previous year, the level of the lake is lower by 13 cm.  As of September 28, 228.234 million cubic meters of water were released from Lake Sevan.

 It should be noted that since August 16, 2023, additional water intake from Lake Sevan has been carried out, which the National Assembly set up to 240 million cubic meters for this year, which is 70 million cubic meters more than the statutorily prescribed volume of 170 cubic meters.
