

On June 5, 2024, RA Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan presented the performance of the state budget of the Ministry of Environment for 2023 in the National Assembly.
The revised budget of the Ministry in 2023 made up 10.6 billion AMD. The performance of measures financed only by means of the state budget accounted for 98%.
The costs of maintaining the apparatus of the Ministry amounted to 1.2 billion AMD. 4.3 billion AMD were allocated to 10 SNOCs. The business income of all SNOCs of the Ministry of Environment amounted to about 86 million AMD.
"In the case of national parks, we signed 16 new contracts in 2023, which implies an investment of around 5.6 billion AMD," Hakob Simidyan noted.
Compared to 2022, the budget of "Environmental Research Center" SNOC increased by 56 million AMD in 2023.
The budget allocations of "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNOC amounted to about 1.6 billion AMD.
About 300 million AMD have been allocated from the budget for the purchase of 2 air quality monitoring stations.
In 2023, about 495 million AMD were allocated to the fund for the restoration of Sevan trout stocks and the development of fish farming.
2.9 billion AMD have been allocated from the budget within the framework of "Forest Management" measure. In 2023, reforestation and afforestation were carried out on an area of about 436 hectares.
125 million AMD have been allocated for the fight against harmful organisms in forests.
