EcoLur
On June 4 the premiere and discussions of “Biblical Disaster” film shot by EcoLur Informational NGO was held at EcoLur Press Club. The film shows what has actually happened in Ararat Valley, why several villages in Ararat and Armavir regions are left without water, where this water flows to, and whether additional water outlets from Lake Sevan are needed. After the film screening the following people had speeches: Mher Mkrtumyan, Staff Head of State Committee on Water Industry, expert in water ecosystems Seyran Minasyan, Aram Gabrielyan – National Focal Point of the UN Climate Change Convention, Evelina Ghukasyan - Director of Hydroecology and Ichthyology Institute of NAS RA, Levon Galstyan – member of Pan -Armenian Environmental front, Karine Danielyan - Chairman of “For Sustainable Human Development” NGO, Mari Chakryan - PR Officer of Aarhus Centers of Armenia, Silva Adamyan – Coordinator of Public Environmental Alliance, Chairman of “Center for Bird Lovers” NGO, Inga Zarafyan – President of “EcoLur” Informational NGO. We will present each speaker’s opinion and proposals made for the solution to the problem one by one.
EcoLur will hold the premiere and discussions of “Biblical Disaster” film in Ararat, Armavir and Gegharkounik regions, and all the proposals received from the stakeholders in regions and Yerevan will be submitted to the Armenian Government and National Assembly.
