Due to climatic conditions, additional water outlets from Lake Sevan shouldn’t be excluded for the upcoming years, as Mher Mkrtumyan, Staff Head of State Committee on Water Industry said at the discussion of “Biblical Disaster” film. “You can remember this initiative was launched last year. The problem of 8180 ha and around 30 communities was not new for us. From last year the discussion were in progress and the solution to this problem was anticipated to be carried out at the expense of additional water outlets from Lake Sevan. It depends on the climatic conditions of that particular year. You may remember in 2008 and 2012 the government made such initiatives. It’s very difficult to make any forecasting for 2015. It depends on the climatic conditions of that particular year. But we should be optimistic and try to accelerate our actions and reservoir construction works to mitigate this problem to a certain extent,” Mher Mkrtumyan said.
