The employees of Base Metals Company, developing Drmbon Mine in Nagorno Karabagh Republic (Vallex Group Company), are going to construct a complex for rest in Tsapatagh Village on the shore of Lake Sevan. The project plans to construct 30 cottages in the territory of 2.5 ha above 1905 ha. The public hearings were held in Tsapatagh Village in the summer.
Village head Taguhi Boyaghchyan – The Tufenkian complex has been operating in the village over 10 years and we have only positive outcomes, such as employment of villagers and ensuring with products… In this way we can promote our village…if the negative environmental impact is absent, this is a very good program for the village.
The projector, Hovik Nokoghosyan, can’t see any negative impacts, the only being sewage. New cleaning facilities are planned to be installed with a productivity of 98-99 percent, while its wastes can be used for greening the territories. The hearing participants approved this project.
