Whether or not the placement of a sorting and crashing complex in Sotq is legal? What kinds of technologies are used by GeoProMining Gold in Sotq? What kinds of measures are to be taken: to punish the company or to demand the expert assessment for SCC or to leave the question toll the consideration of the new project on expanded gold mining in Sotq. The working group founded on Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan’s order, must give answers to these and other questions. On the Minister’s request, in future Vigen Avetisyan, Head of the working group and Head of Mine and Land Protection Policy Administration Department Head of Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia, shall organize a group trip to Sotq so as to address the situation on the spot. It should be mentioned, that the legal framework of SCC project which Energy and Natural Resources Ministry makes a reference to, dates back to 1988.
It is evident that legal succession in this very case is inappropriate. It's interesting that the new project on mining expansion, which company intends to submit for consideration in 2012 also has the description of SCC. It turns out that the new project hasn't been submitted, whil the SCC has already been constructed and working since May 2011.
