Alarm Signal from Armavir: Sewage Filling into Armavir Canal Creating Antisanitary State

EcoLur

EcoLur has received an alarm signal from Armavir region resident that the sewage has been clogged and the sewage from Baghramyan and Myasnikyan communities in Armavir Region are filling into the canal from the manholes adjacent to Armavir canal. "As days are getting warmer and there is no other water rather than sewage, there is awful stink spread in the entire surroundings," the resident said. He mentioned that the sewage has been filling into the canal for over one year and the irrigation is carried out with this water. According to him, the sewage is filling into the canal near Hatsik (Nairi) Village, next to 10-kilometer-long road section Armavir to Gyumri. "The accident is near the monument located next to the entrance to the former region of Baghramyan," the resident specified.

EcoLur is directing this alarm signal to "Veolia Jur" CJSC and Water Committee.
