Hail Hits Damaged Areas: New Disaster in Pambak
On June 20, as a result of the rains and hail that fell in Pambak extended community of Lori Region, the roads of the villages were flooded, the water washed away the fertile layer of the soil and turned it into mud in the streets and gardens. The villagers' livelihood was destroyed in a few minutes. The hail damaged the property of the villagers, the plots near the houses, the roofs and the solar water heaters installed on them were damaged.

Yeghegnut, Vahagni, Antaramut, Debet, Lernapat and Dzoragigh settlements were among the most affected ones. Ecolur visited the affected Debet and Yeghegnut settlements, our camera recorded the damage. In Debet, the flood invaded into the recently renovated community hall building and damaged the walls. A number of inter-community roads in Debed are impassable, as the flood washed off the asphalt. In Yeghegnut, the piles of stones brought by the flood also filled the streets, the asphalted sidewalks were destroyed.
