On March 21, “House of Environmentalist” civic initiative shared a video on Facebook reporting large-scale logging in the areas of “Dilijan” National Park and Dilijan community.
Sevak Markosyan, Head of Department for Risk Management of State Forests, Forest Lands and Specially Protected Nature Areas of Eco-Patrol Service under RA Ministry of Environment, informed EcoLur that the logging had been carried out outside the territory of “Dilijan” National Park, and that the area in question is fully within the Dilijan community boundaries.
