Upon the initiative of Alaverdi Civil Society Support NGO Center, 'Victim's of Black Bull' shot by EcoLur was screened, which still in 2018 was beating an alarm signal on the risks of Teghout copper and molybdenum mining. 'The film has prophecy in it. Whatever the film says is almost true. Now we have found ourselves in a worse situation. Hectares of forests have been cut down, 'Teghout' Company has been established on agricultural land areas. People having dealt with agriculture for centuries were accustomed to stay in their houses and operate as workers in the factory. Now the factory is closed, people are unemployed, but the problem is that they already can't deal with agriculture or don't have the means to establish some business, they don't have any capital or financial support and are entirely dependent on banks, as they have loans,' Lori-region-based 'Community Union and Support Center' NGO Director Oleg Dulgaryan sain in his interview with EcoLur. He mentioned that the agricultural land areas polluted by mining wastes are not fertile anymore.

'The fertility and volume of agricultural products in the land areas of Teghout, Shnogh, Ayrum and Tchotchkan villages located next to Akhtala ore processing combine have decreased. The land areas are not fertile, the harvest is not much and people are getting poorer and poorer. Not to mention that the residents of the same residential areas are beating alarm signals that the percentage of cancer diseases has increased, which is still not confirmed. Nevertheless, people feel like they are under the impact of some sleeping pills. It refers to Ayrum and Teghout community residents,' Oleg Dulgaryan said.
