Gagik Qocharyan, aged 55, an employee at “Teghout” CJSC, died at the company in Lori Region. In reply to EcoLur’s enquiry, the public relations officer of Vallex Company (which includes “Teghout” CJSC) Vahram Avagyan sent an official reply, which particularly says, “On 27 December 2012, at 09:00 a.m., an accident took place in one of the buildings of the plant in construction, which resulted in the death of employee Gagik Qocharyan. According to the preliminary version, he fell down from height. He was immediately transferred to the medical point of “Teghout” CJSC, where he was provided first aid, then he was taken to Alaverdi Medical Center, then to Erebouni Medical Center in Yerevan. He died from the injuries he received on 3 January 2013. At the moment the law enforcement bodies are investigating this case, so they demand from us to refrain from publishing any unreliable materials till the end of the investigation,” the company letter says.
