The students of Green Chemistry Club at Ayb Educational Complex created biodegradable plastics in nature. With thermoplastic starch raw materials, these plastics can replace petroleum-based plastics, thus significantly reducing environmental pollution.
The Green Chemistry Club conducted research and experiments in the chemistry laboratory of Ayb School under the guidance of teachers Lilit Hambardzumyan and Levon Sargsyan. For the invention of biodegradable polymers, Ayb school children have been granted an invention patent by the Intellectual Property Agency. At this stage, the club members are exploring the possibility of starting its production process.
