On December 15, 2021, the presentation of the film "Armenia's Open Wounds - Non-Operating Mines" shot by "EcoLur" Informational NGO took place. The film was screened at Responsible Mining Policy Forum organized by Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center.
The film presents the problems faced by the affected communities after the mining operation and then after the decommissioning. What are the benefits and harms of mining, and how aware are they of the soil manager’s commitments undertaken towards the community?
The film was shot within the frameworks of "Liability of Non-Operating Mining Companies in EITI Process" project in the course of 2020.
