Today 75 small hydro power plants operating in Armenia supply 5% of the electricity demand. At present 70 more small hydro power plants are in the process of construction.
The German Side (German Development Bank KfW) continues to loan construction of small hydro power plants in Armenia . 18 million Euros are granted to Armenia on favorable terms for a time period of 12 years. The former loaning program made up 6 million Euros.
