Armenia Becoming Water-Scarce, Environmentalist Highlights Country's Ecological Issues

"Although Armenia has one of the lowest greenhouse gas emissions, it is highly vulnerable due to rising temperatures, which pose serious challenges for us," Victoria Burnazyan, Deputy President of EcoLur NGO, outlined in response to a question from Factor TV during the conference titled "The Impact of Azerbaijan's Aggression on Human Rights and Environmental Protection."

The conference was organized in response to the UN’s decision to allow Azerbaijan to host COP29, despite concerns over its aggression toward the people of Artsakh, as well as its authoritarian policies and anti-Armenian sentiments.

"Armenia is becoming increasingly water-scarce. We need to manage our water resources properly to avoid losing not only our agricultural sector but also to sustain the activities of other economic industries," Burnazyan emphasized.
