EcoLur, “We Won’t Keep Silence” Youth Civic Initiative
In the frames of ‘Nature or Money’ campaign, “EcoLur” Informational NGO and “We Won’t Keep Silence” Youth Civic Initiative have disseminated a joint statement which says: “We think that the statement made by “Robshin” Company about stopping the civil works and taking the machinery out of Trchkan waterfall is not more than seeking to deviate public attention from this issue. The statement of the company has no legal force while the water usage permit and the positive opinion of environmental impact assessment signed by Nature Protection Minister remain in force. The persons having signed these documents, first of all, Nature Protection Minister must call back their signatures. On the contrary, the company can at any moment refuse from so-called good will, which, as a matter of fact, is arbitrary rule and will proceed to the construction whenever it’s suitable for him. Law must replace arbitrary rule,” the statement says.
