Nature Protection Ministry Ignored Alarm Signal on Dzoraget River Pollution with Industrial Wastes

EcoLur

Still in January 2012 EcoLur applied to Nature Protection Ministry with an alarm signal that Dzoraget River is polluted with industrial wastes of Sagamar Company dealing with the extraction and production of gold from Armanis mine (Lori region.) It's already several months since NGOs, particularly Lore Eco-Club, has been seeking to stop the pollution of Dzoraget River. Wastes of unknown origin are dumped into the river thus changing the colour of the river. This process takes place once per several days.

EcoLur has officially applied to Nature Protection Ministry via its hotline and demanded to hold urgent inspections based on the industrial pollution of Dzoraget River. Nature Protection Ministry didn't give any reply to EcoLur, no inspections were conducted, while Dzoraget River keeps on being polluted with industrial wastes.
