On March 15 the government adopted a decision to lower the category of 0.15 ha land areas for the construction of a small HPP in Jermuk. Meanwhile the government ignored its earlier decision – N 1064 dated on 28 September 2008 'On Recognizing Jermuk Tourism Center', in accordance with which the aforementioned territory, a tributary to 'Spitak Jur' Arpa River designed for rest and fishing. The government members were reminded about this fact by Urban Development. While Nature Protection Minister didn't have any objections, as 'the project doesn't submit any certificate on environmental restrictions.' As a result, the decision on constructing a small HPP was adopted.
