Azatek Village Left Without Water

Because of poor management of water resources in Vayots Dzor Region Azatek Village has deprived of water. Residents told EcoLur that they haven’t watered their land areas even once this year. Azatek Aldermen’s Council member Sevada Zaqaryan says that the problems of water started in the village, when orchards were planted in the village territory. “They planted 20 ha of orchard, and all the water in the village goes to these orchards. This year we didn’t have any water at all,” Sevada Zaqaryan said.
