On February 5, 2020, a discussion was held at Water Resources Management Agency of Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia about Lydian Armenia CJSC’s Project on Arpa River Water Use Permit.
No written or oral suggestions, complaints, or concerns were submitted to Water Resources Management Agency regarding this project. When asked by EcoLur whether it could serve as a basis for approving the company's project, Acting Head of Agency Edgar Pirumyan said: “Yes, at this stage, yes. As a public notice, yes. It means that there has been no public dissatisfaction. If no application, written or oral, concern occurs, it shall be deemed to be a positive term.”
This discussion will be followed by further discussions on the project at the agency. In reply to EcoLur's clarifying question, whether this permit will be granted, if there is no complaint or application now, Pirumyan responded positively.
