Court Partially Decided in Favour of Tehmine Yenoqyan in Her Lawsuit Against Lydian Armenia's Employee

The legal dispute between Tehmine Yenoqyan, a resident of Gndevaz village, who is fighting against Amulsar gold-bearing quartzite mine development project and Hovsep Asoyan, an employee of “Lydian Armenia” CJSC, ended with Tehmine Yenoqyan’s victory.

Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan City obligated Hovsep Asoyan to apologize publicly for insulting Tehmine Yenoqyan on Facebook and to confiscate 200,000 AMD in her favor. The court partially satisfied the requirement of the lawsuit, obliging Hovsep Asoyan to pay 200,000 AMD instead of 1 million AMD. Tehmine Yenoqyan appealed this court decision in Court of Appeal.
