Opencast development of Amulsar gold mine parallel to negative impact on people’s health living nearby, first of all, can cause great damage to Jermuk Resort Town. This is what “EcoLur” Informational NGO Head Inga Zarafyan told the News.am correspondent in her interview.
“We have serious concerns in regard with opencast development and sent an enquiry to “GeoTeam” Company having been issued a license for development, which now assures, its operation cannot have any impact of Jermuk environment.” They assure geoprospecting and examinations they have carried out show that dust from heavy metals don’t spread farther than in a distance of 6 kilometers.
