Geoteam Promising To Examine Gndevaz Villagers’ Complaint

“Geoteam” Company Executive Director Hayk Alumyan says in his explanation, “Amulsar project will be an up-to-date project of international quality, from which communities and countries will benefit. It will have high-quality environmental and safety management in harmonization with, for example, the strictest criteria of management in the USA. We have closely been cooperating with Gndevaz and other communities since 2007, we have been working openly and transparently, we have always listened to questions and concerns and replied them through continuous provision of information related with the project at public hearings, meetings and continuous communication and our Info Center located in Gndevaz. We have always had the support of the communities and we are convinced that majority welcome the project.

We will examine the complaint in-depth and will take proper measures for the authors of the complaint to have proper information. The company aims to take all the measures to make land acquisition and compensation processes more transparent, while concerns will be addressed.

We would like to remind that Amulsar is still not am operating mine, We haven’t started either the construction or the mining, which is expected to be late in 2016.”
