

On the eve of the end of industrial fishing in Lake Sevan, 14 illegal small fish nets were taken out of Lake Sevan. The cases of illegal fishing were revealed within the framework of special measures implemented jointly by the protection department of "Sevan" National Park, RA Police and RA Nature Protection and Mining Inspection |Body. The networks were confiscated and destroyed in accordance with the law, as RA Environment Ministry informs.
Reminder: The second phase of the industrial fishing season in Lake Sevan ends on September 1. Within the framework of the 2nd stage, in 2021 fishermen are allowed to catch a maximum of 250 tons of whitefish. However, 303 contracts signed with Environment Ministry provided for catching about 221 tons and 164 kg of fish.
