On May 13, 2023, around 130,000 viable young fish of Gegharkuni trout were released into Lake Sevan. The small fish release was carried out as part of the working visit of Minister Hakob Simidyan to the small fish breeding factory and the trout breeding net farm of "Sevan Trout" CJSC located in Karchaghbyur community, Gegharkunik Region, as Environment Ministry disseminated a statement in this regard.
