Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body summarized the works done in the first semester of 2024. According to the report submitted by the inspection body, a total of 897 cases of violations were recorded, out of which 338 were in atmospheric air, water, land resources, waste, 152 were in biodiversity, 85 were in subsoil use, and 322 were in other areas.
671 administrative proceedings were initiated during the first 6 months in 2024 , which is increased by 28.8% as compared with 2023. 570 administrative penalties were imposed (5% of increase as compared with 2024) and a fine of 81,470,000 AMD was imposed ( 58.1% of increase as compared with 2023).
The damage caused to the environment amounted to AMD 5,495,753,903, which increased by 734.6% compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, in January-June 2024, the inspection body carried out 45 activity suspensions (in 2023: 181.2% increase) and 227 inspections: 98 planned, 129 out-of-planned (5% of increase as compared with 2023).
107,004,476 AMD was credited to the RA state budget.
