In regard with the alarm signal on Khosrov Forest, EcoLur has applied to Nature Protection Minister of Armenia Aram Harutyunyan. The letter says,
Dear Mr. Minister,
As it's known, due to active public participation, the Armenian Government made a decision or recovering the state of wildlife preserve to Gilan section in 'Khosrov Forest' state reserve. Meanwile the government decision days nothing about what to do with underconstructed complex. The Nature Protection Ministry didn't accept the proposal made by the Alliance of Public Enviornmental Organizations to dismantle this building, as it is illegal. Instead, a working group was found at Nature Protection Ministry, which should have decided the fate of this construction. EcoLur received an alarm signal that certain bodies again showed interest towards this construction. We would like to ask you to give clarifications on the following issues:
1.What kind of proposals has the ministry working group made in regard with the unfinished comples in Gilan section? If any proposal has already been made, we suggest to display them on the website of Nature Protection Ministry so as stakeholders could examine these proposals and give their assessment
2. Where has this building been recorded as assets at present and what kind of legal grounds, besides government decision, does the Ministry have to give a solution what to do with this building?
3. Whether it is planned to compensate construction costs, if yes, how?
4. We would also like to ask you to permit the public to visit Gilan section of Khosrov state reserve together with representatives of Ministry working group to examine the situation on the spot."
