On the morning of August 25, 2022, RA police detained two citizens, lawyer Hayk Harutyunyan and physicist Mikayel Aganyants, who participated in the protest demonstration against the construction of a multi-storey building in the territory of the Physics Institute (Fizgorodok), as we learn from "Fizgorodok Yerevan" public Facebook group.
Reminder: on September 10, 2021, "Ratco" LLC started to break and topple the trees in the territory of Physics Institute (Fizgorodok), as the local residents were beating an alarm signal on the Facebook page. As a result of residents' protest demonstrations, a criminal case was initiated under Article 308(2) of RA Criminal Code. After the initiation of a criminal case, the Yerevan Municipality ordered the suspension of construction until the end of the case investigation. For almost a year, the company did not carry out any activity in the territory of Fyzgorodok, and today it resumed construction works.
