In March 2025, the Moldovan capital of Chișinău hosted “EU4Dialogue Beyond Borders: Creating Synergy for the Future” workshop during which the results of the five-year “EU4Dialogue” project were summarized. The project aimed to promote dialogue between conflicting parties in the South Caucasus and the Republic of Moldova, strengthen mutual understanding and trust, and contribute to reconciliation processes.
During the workshop, the outcomes of the project’s activities from 2020 to 2025 were presented, and possible future cooperation was discussed.
As part of the project, neutral platforms for dialogue were established, where countries from the Eastern Partnership discussed common challenges, including issues related to energy, climate change, water, and more.
The experts from Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine participated in the workshop. Among them was Kristina Ter-Matevosyan, a representative of “EcoLur” Informational NGO and a member of the energy transition dialogue platform.
Participants of the energy transition and climate platforms jointly prepared a document titled “Cooperation on Climate Vulnerability: Adding Regional Dimensions to National Climate Adaptation Planning in the Eastern Partnership Countries.”
Contributing from the Armenian delegation were Alen Amirkhanyan, Director of the Acopian Center for the Environment at the American University of Armenia; Silva Ayvazyan, Coordinator of Yerevan Aarhus Center; Aram Gabrielyan, expert at “Khazer” Ecological-Cultural NGO; Ruzanna Ghazaryan, President of “Dalma-Sona” Environmental Foundation; Eva Martirosyan, Program Director at “Inclusion Armenia” NGO; and Arpine Sukiasyan, expert at “Public Awareness and Monitoring Center” NGO.
The document also featured a photo by Kristina Ter-Matevosyan depicting the Kakhanov Canal in Armenia’s Ararat Region, presented in the context of climate change’s impact on river systems.
Throughout the workshop days, participants discussed prospects for cooperation with the OSCE and explored opportunities for collaboration with other organizations.
