On the 31st of July, the closing event of the "Small-Scale Energy-Efficiency Solutions for the Rural People in the Republic of Armenia" initiative was held.
Within the framework of the initiative, 5 courses on the technical aspects of the production of energy-efficient stoves were organized for around 108 metalsmiths from Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Shirak regions of Armenia. At the end of the courses, the participating masters were provided with the drawings and technical standards of energy-efficient stoves to prepare them in case of orders. The trainings aimed to equip metal manufacturers with skills to produce energy-efficient stoves, including production plans, demonstrations, and insights on health and financial benefits.
5 two-day business courses were organized for about 50 masters, including marketing techniques and financial management practices.
The initiative was implemented by German Sparkassenstiftung Armenia (DSIK) within the framework of "EU4Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Armenian Communities" Project, funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a part of the “ECOserve” program.
