Recommendations from Roundtable Discussion on "Implemented and Planned Energy Efficiency Projects in Yerevan"
EcoLur Informational NGO, with the support of People Powered Global Hub for Participatory Democracy and in cooperation with Yerevan Municipality, implemented the project titled “Civil Society Becomes an Active Participant in Yerevan’s Green Transition.” Within the scope of this project, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic: “Implemented and Planned Energy Efficiency Projects in Yerevan.”
 
Participants of the roundtable included Aneta Babayan, Director of "Yerevan Investment Program Implementation Office for Urban Development" SNCO, and Deputy Director Meri Harutyunyan, along with the team responsible for energy efficiency programs within the same office, Yerevan’s Energy Manager Vahagn Atayan, Chief Specialist of the General Education Department of Yerevan Municipality Armine Gabrielyan, directors and representatives of 15 kindergartens in the capital, and the EcoLur NGO team.
 
Roundtable recommendations are as follows:
 
1. During energy-efficient renovations in kindergartens, the comfort of both staff and children-especially those with disabilities or developmental differences - should be taken into account.
 
2. Ensure uninterrupted and effective ventilation systems.
 
3. Use energy-saving household appliances.
 
4. Provide incentives for implementing energy-saving and energy-efficiency measures.
 
5. Develop mechanisms to ensure rapid cost recovery for energy projects.
 
6. Replace outdated equipment in the electrical network.
