The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has reached verdicts against the Republic of Armenia, particularly 6 judgments based on applications filed in regard to “Teghout” CJSC.
“Teghout” CJSC offered the Ramazyans residing in Shnogh Village to buy their agricultural land areas at 870,500 AMD, nevertheless the family refused to sell their land areas because of the low price.
In 2008 the company has filed a claim against the company demanding in court to obligate the company to sign the agreements of land sale. In their response claim, the Ramazyans were claiming that there were no fair court proceedings held.
In its judgment, the ECHR ruled the Ramazyans have incurred both pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage. As a result, the court obligated the Armenian Government to pay a compensation of 10,400 Euros within three months.
The next judgment refers to “Levon Alikhanyan vs. Armenia” litigation, and the claim on which it is based was filed in 2009. Shnogh residents had filed a claim against “Teghout” CJSC. The company has proposed Alikhanyan to buy the land areas owned by him at 3,439,650 AMD, nevertheless, Alikhanyan has rejected this offer because of the low price. The ECHR has obligated the Armenian Government to pay a compensation of 17,200 Euros within 3 months to the plaintiff.
The third judgment has been reached in “Parsadanyan vs. Armenia” case. The company has proposed the Parsadanyans to buy the land area they own at a price of 265,650 AMD, nevertheless, the Parsadanyans has rejected this offer because of the low price. The ECHR ruled the Parsadanyans have incurred both pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage, and the Armenian Government should compensate these damages within 3 months by paying 8600 Euros to the family.
The fourth judgment has been reached in “Vardanyan and Hakhverdyan vs. Armenia” case. The ECHR has obligated the Armenian Government to pay a compensation of 14,000 Euros within 3 months to the plaintiff.
The fifth judgment has been reached in “Mashinyan and Ramazyan vs. Armenia” case. The ECHR has obligated the Armenian Government to pay a compensation of 14,000 Euros within 3 months to the plaintiff.
The last judgment has been reached in “Mher Alikhanyan vs. Armenia” case. The ECHR has obligated the Armenian Government to pay a compensation of 5200 Euros within 3 months to the plaintiff.
